Great Lakes Coastal Community Planning Resource

Wisconsin communities located on the Great Lakes shoreline face a variety of challenges in developing comprehensive plans to guide future growth and development. In addition to all the elements of a comprehensive plan that inland communities must address (housing, transportation, infrastructure, land use, etc.) coastal communities also must tackle the preservation and sustainable use of coastal amenities and the reduction of coastal hazards. The Great Lakes Coastal Community Planning site is meant to be used a tool to support planning efforts along the Lake Michigan and Lake Superior coasts of Wisconsin.
