AUGUST 2 - FISH

Read Aloud Book

Fishing Day by Andrea Davis Pinkney

Reenie is a black girl who loves to go fishing by the river with her mama.  Peter Troop is a white boy who fishes with his dad at the same river.  Peter is loud, often scaring the fish away. Join us to find out what happens.

Visiting Fish

Our fish want to meet you!  Have you ever caught fish like these?  Watch it - this is a trick question.  Learn more about fish in Wisconsin by going to www.seagrant.wisc.edu/kidsteachersClick on the fish picture.

Arts and Crafts

Have fun! Draw, paint or trace your own fish.  Cover it with glitter and sequins.  Or draw a picture of a fish you caught.  If you want to color, we also have fish coloring books.

Frog has a problem. Burping makes him happy, but all the other frogs think it's gross. When he finds a town where everyone loves to burp, he realizes that the other frogs may have been right about burping.
