PLEASE
NOTE:
Any
adult Wisconsin resident may request a maximum of 5 items
(books, documents, pamphlets, videotapes, CD-ROMs, microfiche, journals,
and maps). You must be 18 or over to use this service.
We
can usually send you an individual issue of a journal
if we have it in our collection, but we cannot make copies of journal
articles for you.
We
cannot send oversize books or large maps.
The
loan period is 4 weeks or 28 days.
We
send the materials to your local public library through the Wisconsin
Libraries Delivery Network. Your local library will notify you when they arrive. Just pick them up and return them
at your public library.
If your
local library is not a member of the Delivery Network, we will mail
the materials to you free of charge. You are responsible for
mailing them back to us. It is a good idea to keep the packing
materials to reuse when you return the items.
If
you live within the area served by South
Central Library System, the materials should arrive in one to
two days. If you live outside South Central, it could take
up to five days.
If
an item is not available, we will let you know.
You
cannot request additional materials until you have returned the
previously loaned items.
| UW-Madison faculty, staff, and students
should use MadCat
to recall or retrieve a book or other item. Faculty, staff and
students at other UW System campuses, UW Extension and UW Colleges
should use their institution's established procedure for borrowing
from another UW System Library. |
