Welcome to the UW Aquatic Sciences Center
The University of Wisconsin Aquatic Sciences Center (ASC) is headquartered in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. ASC administers two institutes with complementary missions. The Sea Grant Institute and Water Resources Institute both support multidisciplinary research, education and outreach for the protection and sustainable use of Wisconsin’s water resources. The center was established as a unique partnership in 1999. It is a highly efficient and cost-effective state-federal model for drawing out the best from Wisconsin’s aquatic scientists who, collaboratively, make a difference statewide, nationwide and around the world.
